WEPS04 Bluetooth Pressure Transducer

The WEPS04 Bluetooth Pressure Transducer is a compact wireless pressure sensor for checking pressure without running wire to a gauge, panel, or data logger. Thread it into the port you want to watch, open the app on your phone or tablet, and you get a live reading from wherever you are standing.

It runs on a coin cell, so there is nothing to wire and nothing to power. Pick the pressure range and port that match your equipment from the options above. Designed and built by Phoenix Sensors in Arizona.

Please note: the WEPS04 displays pressure on your phone or tablet while connected. It does not send alerts, alarms, or notifications, and it does not store readings when your device is out of range.

Choosing Your Range and Port

Pressure range. Choose a range roughly one and a half to two times the highest pressure you expect. Too small and you have no headroom for spikes; too large and you give up resolution, because accuracy is a percentage of the full range. Rough starting points: air filters and low air systems 5 to 15 PSI, pools, spas, irrigation and water systems 50 to 100 PSI, shop air, compressors and well systems 300 PSI, A/C and refrigerant service 500 PSI, hydraulics, presses and heavy equipment 1,000 to 10,000 PSI.

Pressure port. Match the fitting already on your equipment. 1/4″-18 NPT is the common thread across North American air, water, and hydraulic systems and is the right pick if you are unsure. 1/8″-27 NPT suits smaller equipment, compact manifolds, and tight installs. 7/16″-20 UNF is the standard fitting on automotive and mobile hydraulic equipment. Adapting between thread sizes is the most common cause of a leaking install, so order the port you actually have. Custom fittings, including BSPP, are available on request.

Pressure type. Gauge is measured relative to the air around it, the same way the mechanical gauge on your equipment reads, and it is the right choice for nearly every field application. Absolute, sealed gauge, and compound (vacuum) versions are available on request.

Where It Is Used

Hydraulic system service and troubleshooting, water and industrial pumps, pool and spa filter loops, air compressors and pneumatic lines, HVAC diagnostics and temporary pressure checks, equipment testing and validation, and field service work where a portable reading beats permanent instrumentation. Compatible with liquid, air, and gas media suitable for a stainless steel port.

WEPS04 or WEPS25?

We sell two wireless Bluetooth pressure sensors. Choose the WEPS04 for simple wireless monitoring while you are standing nearby: it is the smaller, lower cost option and the right pick for spot checks, service calls, and equipment testing. Choose the WEPS25 when the sensor sits farther away, when the environment runs hot, or when you want to leave it installed long term and keep a stored record: it reads to about 300 feet instead of 200, handles up to 221°F instead of 185°F, logs up to 100,000 readings, adds Beacon Mode, and carries a larger CR2477 cell rather than the CR2050. See the WEPS25 Wireless Pressure Data Logger.

Mobile Apps for Bluetooth Pressure Monitoring

All Phoenix Sensors wireless products require one of the following mobile apps for monitoring and viewing real-time data. Select the app based on sensor count and output requirements. Buy the app once and it works with every sensor you own.

App Best For Notes Downloads
WEXS Sensors App
$5
Monitoring up to 4 sensors Standard Bluetooth monitoring. Google Play | Apple App Store
WEXS-10 Sensors App
$50
Monitoring up to 10 sensors Recommended when monitoring more than 4 sensors. Google Play | Apple App Store
WEXS-BLE-AN App
$5
Up to 4 sensors + 0-5V analog output Requires the WEXS-BLE-AN gateway module. Google Play | Apple App Store
Setup note: Enable all required device permissions at the device level, including location, storage, and media permissions. To help prevent disconnection from screen timeout during monitoring, set the device display timeout to the longest available duration or “Never.”

Common Questions

Do I need anything besides the sensor? A phone or tablet and one of the apps above. No gateway, receiver, controller, or wiring.

Does it work with iPhone? Yes. The WEXS apps are on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Will it alert me if pressure changes? No. The WEPS04 displays pressure while connected to your device. It does not alarm or notify. Contact us if you need unattended alerting.

Does it record data? The WEPS04 is built for live monitoring. If you need a stored record you can export to a spreadsheet, use the WEPS25 instead.

What does PSI gauge mean? Pressure measured relative to the air around it, exactly the way the mechanical gauge on your equipment reads. It is the right choice for nearly every field application.

Can I get a range or fitting that is not listed? Yes. Additional pressure ranges, pressure types, and process connections are available on request.

Need More Than a Few?

This page is set up for one or two units. For volume pricing, a custom pressure range, a different port fitting, private labeling, or designing the WEPS04 into your own product, contact us and we will connect you with the Phoenix Sensors engineering team. Every unit is tested before it ships and backed by a 12 month warranty with USA based support.
