HVAC Refrigerant Pressure Transducer with Schrader Valve Connection
The PPT82 HVAC refrigerant pressure transducer provides reliable gauge pressure measurement for HVAC and refrigeration equipment requiring a compact sensor, 4-20 mA output, and integrated Schrader valve pressure connection.

With 0.5% full-scale accuracy and an 8-24 VDC supply, the PPT82 is designed for integration into chillers, heat pumps, commercial refrigeration systems, compressor assemblies, condensing units, packaged HVAC systems, and OEM control equipment.
Available HVAC Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Ranges
Select the pressure range based on the maximum working pressure, expected pressure transients, and required measurement resolution at the installation point.

A higher pressure range is not automatically the better choice. Selecting a range that is substantially higher than the actual operating pressure can reduce useful measurement resolution. Always account for startup, shutdown, service, ambient, and fault conditions when selecting the range.
Integrated Schrader Valve Pressure Connection
The PPT82 features an integrated Schrader valve pressure connection with a 1/4-inch SAE female, 7/16-20 UNF thread. The internal valve interface allows the sensor to connect to compatible HVAC and refrigeration Schrader service ports for continuous pressure monitoring.
This configuration makes the PPT82 suitable for applications requiring a compact Schrader Valve Pressure Sensor or Schrader Valve Pressure Transducer installed at an existing refrigerant service connection.
Before installation, confirm the mating thread, sealing method, valve-core configuration, refrigerant compatibility, system pressure, and available installation clearance.
4-20 mA Refrigerant Pressure Transducer Output for HVAC Control Systems
The 4-20 mA output provides a robust analog signal for transmitting pressure measurements to controllers, PLCs, monitoring systems, building automation equipment, and other industrial electronics.
A 4-20 mA current loop is generally less susceptible to electrical noise and voltage drop than many voltage-output signals, making it well suited for equipment with longer cable runs or electrically demanding environments.
The HVAC refrigerant pressure sensor operates from an 8-24 VDC power supply and uses a three-position Parker-style electrical connection.
